From fillings to bridges, we offer a range of affordable dental restoration services designed to help you smile and chew with confidence. Call today to schedule your consultation.

What Types of Issues Are Treated with Dental Fillings?

Fillings are most often used to repair tooth decay, but they can also be used to reshape and reinforce teeth that are worn or damaged by trauma or tooth grinding. After the dentist numbs the affected area with a local anesthetic, he or she carefully removes the damaged portion of the tooth and cleans away any debris. The remaining hole is then filled with a metal or composite substance to protect the tooth from further damage or decay.

What Materials Do You Use for a Tooth Filling?

Today’s filling options range from traditional amalgam to tooth-colored porcelain and composite. Factors to consider when choosing a dental filling include budget, the location of the filling, the durability of the materials used, and any limitations that may be imposed by your insurance carrier. Our dentists will help you choose the best filling for your dental issue, budget, and aesthetics.

How Much Do You Charge for a Tooth Filling?

Your final tooth filling cost can vary widely based on the type of material used. Gold fillings are the most expensive, and amalgam fillings are typically the least expensive. We will provide you with an estimate of the cost of your restoration and go over your payment options once you and your dentist have agreed on a treatment plan.

What Types of Issues Are Treated with a Tooth Crown or a Tooth Bridge?

Caps and bridges are prosthetic dental appliances used to replace, reinforce, or improve the appearance of heavily damaged or missing teeth. Unlike a removable denture or partial, a crown or bridge is permanently affixed and can only be taken out by a dentist. Crowns cover the entire tooth and are normally used when the decayed area of the tooth is too large for a standard filling or following a root canal. A bridge is a row of artificial teeth anchored to implant posts or abutment teeth that replaces one or more missing teeth.

What Types of Materials Are Used to Make Dental Caps?

Similar to fillings, caps can be fabricated from a variety of materials, including gold alloy, porcelain, and ceramic. Our dentist will help you choose the right type of crown for your dental problem and your budget.

What Happens During the Tooth Crown Procedure?

Getting a crown starts with the dentist making an impression of the affected tooth and prepping it by removing a small amount of the enamel to ensure that the crown fits properly. We will also fit you with a temporary crown to wear while your permanent one is being created. Once we receive your permanent crown, you will return to our office so that your dentist can cement it into place. Each step of the process takes approximately 30 minutes to one hour to complete.

What Determines My Dental Crown Cost?

Like any dental restoration, the cost of a crown varies from patient to patient. Following your initial consultation, we will provide you with an estimate of your cost based on the type of materials used, the complexity of the procedure, and other factors.

Are All Dental Bridges the Same?

Our dentists provide traditional, implant-supported, and cantilevered bridges. With implant-supported bridges, the prosthetic crown is attached to an implant post that is embedded in the jawbone. Traditional bridges attach to healthy teeth on both sides of the affected area. A cantilevered bridge is only attached on one side and is typically used when there are not healthy teeth on both sides of the affected area.

What Happens During the Tooth Bridge Procedure?

During the initial visit, the dentist preps the teeth by removing some of the natural tooth enamel. He or she will also make a mold of your teeth that will be used to make your bridge the correct size and shape. Before you leave, we will provide you with a temporary bridge that you will wear until your next appointment. At your second appointment, the dentist will attach the permanent bridge and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that it fits and functions comfortably.

Can You Provide an Estimate of My Dental Bridge Cost?

Bridges are personalized prosthetic appliances, so the cost varies for each patient. We will discuss cost and payment options following your consultation.
